The coves and untouched beaches that can be discoveres close to Calas de Mallorca are part of the site declared a Natural Area of Special Interest because it is an area of great ecologial importance.

Surrounded by nature and bathed by the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea, this area is rich in pine, rosemary, sea fennel and gorse bushes. Thaks to the warm temperatures, this part part of the Mallorcan Levant also provides the perfect conditions for tamarind trees and reed beds netx to the coast.

The most famous species that can be found here include the Iberian hare, the Mediterranean tortoise, the common egret eagle and the goldfinch, among many others.
